Pitch Raise & Stabilisation

For pianos that haven’t been tuned in several years or are noticeably flat.

When it’s needed

If your piano has drifted significantly below concert pitch, a single tuning may not be enough to stabilise it.

Process

  • Initial pass to bring the pitch closer to standard.
  • Second pass to refine and stabilise the tuning.

Notes

Older or heavily neglected instruments may require more than one visit. You’ll always receive clear, honest advice before any work is carried out.

Repairs & Regulation

Fine mechanical adjustments and minor repairs to keep your piano responsive and enjoyable to play.

Common issues

  • Sticking or slow keys.
  • Uneven touch or volume.
  • Buzzes, rattles or sympathetic vibrations.

Approach

Issues are assessed on site and you’ll be advised whether it’s a quick fix or a larger workshop job. Where possible, minor adjustments are carried out during a tuning visit.
